Using the database
Navigation
The main menu is located at the top of every page, above the search box. Within each main category you will find subsections containing all the documents pertaining to specific related areas of interest. Every item of content contained in the database can be found via the taxonomy listings.
Taxonomy
The database is organised into a broad range of subject areas, from international diplomacy to planning applications, via costings and press articles. Each item is additionally "tagged" with specific terms in order to subcategorise it further. You can find a list of all available "terms" on the taxonomy page.
Searches
With two search facilities you can make both quick and more detailed searches. Each introductory section of the database contains links to the most recently added content within that section. Additionally, latest content for the entire site can be found via the "latest posts" tab, to your right.
RSS
RSS feeds are available for every taxonomy term in the database. If you want to subscribe to a particular feed, simply visit the URL of the term you are interested in (eg http://tridentreplacement.net/taxonomy/term/28 for UK national press). You can find all the terms on the taxonomy page.
Monthly digest
By the end of 2009 it will be possible to subscribe to a monthly digest containing minimal information about every item of content that has been added during the preceding month. If you would like to subscribe to this service please contact us.
Contributing
In early 2010 we intend opening up the database to allow other researchers to post content and help to develop the research community and resources around the British government's process towards replacing Trident. If you would like to get involved please contact us.
Feedback
By its very nature the database is work in progress.
We will continue to add documents, so if you can't find what you're looking for or know something that's missing, let us know.
We'd also like to know how the database works for you. Do the categories work? Can you navigate the site easily? Did the search function find what you wanted? Please use this contact form to let us know what you think.
