The bomb factory in Burghfield has been ticked off by the Environment Agency for discharging pollutants into a local stream.
 
AWE plc was issued with a warning letter by the Environment Agency after the work at the construction site for Project Mensa caused pollution in Burghfield Brook in December.

Over a considerable period, Booth Industries has been working with AWE to design, supply and install specialist doors and panels on a number of different on-site projects.
 
This includes the AWE Orion laser facility; the UK’s largest ever science project to construct a world leading laser capability, and the AWE Gemini office accommodation project that will house 1,400 staff who operate from the Aldermaston site.
